The current ecological restoration market suffers from a lack of transparency and trust. Restoration capital flows through layers of brokers, making projects difficult to verify. Survival rates are often self-reported and inflated, communities are sidelined, and carbon claims go unaudited. This leads to capital hesitation and continued land degradation. The sector's key bottlenecks are low plant survival at scale and a lack of technical transparency.
Come si risolve?
SamaÚma provides a vertically integrated restoration service using a field-to-screen platform. This includes GPS-logged planting, camera-trap and bioacoustics monitoring, drone canopy mapping, and auditable survival rates. The process is community-led, with local ownership and training. Key components include chemical-free regenerative protocols, locally produced natural bioinputs, community native-seed and seedling chains, and a geo-referenced dMRV platform for auditable time-series data on survival, canopy, growth, biodiversity, and socioeconomic metrics. This integrated approach ensures transparency and credibility.
