Survival rates are often self-reported and inflated, communities are sidelined, and carbon claims go unaudited. This leads to capital hesitation and continued land degradation. The sector's key bottlenecks are low plant survival at scale and a lack of technical transparency.

SamaÚma provides a vertically integrated restoration service using a field-to-screen platform. This includes GPS-logged planting, camera-trap and bioacoustics monitoring, drone canopy mapping, and auditable survival rates. The process is community-led, with local ownership and training. Key components include chemical-free regenerative protocols, locally produced natural bioinputs, community native-seed and seedling chains, and a geo-referenced dMRV platform for auditable time-series data on survival, canopy, growth, biodiversity, and socioeconomic metrics. This integrated approach ensures transparency and credibility.

SamaÚma has already delivered restoration at scale — planting over 23.8 million trees and managing more than 1,000 hectares in active restoration, benefiting over 400 families. Its track record spans multiple biomes (Amazon, Cerrado, and Atlantic Forest) and several Brazilian states. The company delivers on behalf of leading global reforestation nonprofits, technology-enabled tree-planting and verification platforms, and corporate sustainability programs, with further initiatives underway with a range of partner organizations. It has also applied for a R$4.0M grant to fund its REIA R&D program.
