Integrated Lignocellulosic Waste Processing

Otrzymane : są to wszystkie innowacje oferowane Team for the Planet poprzez formularz zgłoszeniowy innowacji.

Arboreum is an integrated process designed to transform lignocellulosic agricultural waste into high-value products while reducing emissions and waste disposal burdens. Instead of treating crop residues and similar biomass as waste, our system converts them into two primary outputs: usable fibrous pulp and stable biochar. The process combines pulping and thermal conversion in a modular, circular architecture where heat and water are recovered and reused internally to reduce external resource demand. This improves overall efficiency and supports deployment in regions with different climates, feedstock types, and infrastructure constraints. Arboreum is built for practical industrial adoption: phased implementation, multiple product pathways, and licensing-based scalability. By turning one underused waste stream into materials with commercial value, the solution aims to lower landfill/open-burn reliance, support cleaner local manufacturing, and contribute to climate-positive industrial transition. IP has been filed, and the project is now seeking pilot partnerships and grant/funding support to move toward implementation.

Jaki problem został rozwiązany?

Large volumes of agricultural and lignocellulosic waste are often burned, landfilled, or underutilized, causing avoidable emissions, disposal costs, and lost material value.

W jaki sposób został rozwiązany?

Our process integrates pulping and pyrolysis in one circular system: waste feedstock is separated into fibrous pulp and biochar, while process heat and recovered water are reused internally. This design reduces external energy/water demand and turns one waste stream into multiple value streams.

Czym różni się to rozwiązanie?

* Dual-output model (pulp + biochar) from the same feedstock * Closed-loop heat/water reuse architecture * Modular deployment for phased scale-up * Designed for varied local conditions and feedstock mixes * Licensing-ready process framework with filed IP
