Detailed project

NB: this form is filled entirely by the ones submitting the innovation.

What is the issue addressed?

Globally, 2.2 billion cups of coffee are consumed daily, with Uganda alone consuming 12,000 tons of coffee annually out of the 240,000 tons locally produced. Unfortunately, each cup of coffee contributes 20 grams of spent coffee grounds that often end up in landfills.

How is the problem solved?

With our innovative waste collection system, we gather spent coffee grounds from coffee chains, diverting them from landfills and reducing environmental impact. These nutrient-rich grounds serve as the foundation for our premium mushroom cultivation.

What is the customer target?

Supermarkets, Pizzerias, Hotels and Healthy Food Conscious customers.

How is this solution different?

We provide both fresh and dried mushrooms.
